La Criolla is getting patriotic with fruit! We just can’t get enough of our Hot Fruit Seasoning so we decided to get festive. The 4th of July is all about grilling, relaxing, celebrating the USA, and eating, right?
Every year it’s always burgers, hotdogs, sausages, or anything you can put in a bun. But we are trying to add a little color and health to the menu, to get to the suggested 2 servings a day. Serve up these recipes alongside your favorite meats and main meals for the 4th! Our Hot Fruit Seasoning is the perfect blend of fresh lemon and chili pepper flakes for a punch of flavor and heat to kick up your favorite fruits this summer.
Fresh Fruit Salsa
- Watermelon, chunked
- Fresh cilantro, chopped
- Green pepper, diced
- Jalapeño, diced – the more seeds the hotter it will be
- Green onion, diced
- Lime Juice, to taste
- 1 Tbsp La Criolla Hot Fruit Seasoning per 2 cups of salsa or to taste
Combine ingredients and toss.
Scatter a mix of blue corn tortilla chips and white ones for that festive look!
***Also try serving up cinnamon tortilla chips with our cinnamon and sugar blend!
- La Criolla cinnamon and sugar blend
Brush tortillas with butter. Sprinkle generously with La Criolla Cinnamon and Sugar blend. Cut into 8ths Put onto a cookie sheet and bake at 350 until light brown. Approx. 8-10 minutes

- Sprinkle with La Criolla Hot Fruit Seasoning
